PortAventura is a large theme park and holiday resort for the whole family! We are located on Spain’s Costa Daurada, an hour away from the beautiful city of Barcelona and only 10 minutes from Reus airport. The lively resort of Salou is also only 10 minutes away! Over 600,000 holiday makers a year choose PortAventura to visit, that is more than the whole of Portugal and Greece put together!
"There are thrills to be had but PortAventura puts the accent on atmosphere. It’s the only theme park I’ve been to where people just stop to photograph the buildings". The Sunday Times

Product & Services
PortAventura is a very comprehensive offering; it gives customers the equivalent to three holidays in one!
- Exciting theme park and water park
- Relaxing beach break
- Vibrant city break
PortAventura Theme Park
The theme park is literally another world or should I say 5 worlds!
The park is split up into 5 VERY DISTINCT REGIONS each representing a different part of our world; they are:

· Mediterránia – you are surrounded by the social and cultural vibrancy of a small fishing village on the Mediterranean coast.
· Polynesia – you become immersed in a true paradise of plant life, tropical waterfalls and ancestral dance.
· China – you explore the timeless wonders, splendor and thrills of Imperial China.
· Far West – you join the miners, cowboys and gamblers in this iconic reconstruction of 1800’s western America.
· Mexico – the intriguing culture of the Mayans never ceases to amaze, discover ancient pyramids and plenty of fun in the sun!
The attention to detail PortAventura puts into the distinction and accuracy of the different areas is astounding. It feels as if you are instantaneously transported across the globe! PortAventura is a real THEME park!
So you’re in the park, what’s next... The RIDES of course!
There are over 30 rides to experience, so whether your customers are looking for adrenaline action or family fun there is something for everyone.
As there are SO many we have picked out some of the best rides per customer segment, so three thrillers, two family and two kids.
Thrillers
|
Dragon Khan– This steel sit down roller-coaster found in China will push the limits of any adrenaline seeker! The ride is based on the Chinese myth of Dragon Khan; the dragon is the reincarnated spirit of the evil Prince Hu of Bejing. His fury is unleashed each time a human dared to climb atop his back! Dragon Khan boasts 8 INVERSIONS and towers 148 foot into the sky, this set a world record when it was constructed (1995). |
|
|
Furius Baco – First and foremost this is the FASTEST roller-coaster in Europe hitting 83.9mph in just 3.5 seconds! Found in Mediterránia, the coaster frequently roars across the vineyards and brushes with fate mere meters above the lake’s surface. It is launched by a powerful hydraulic mechanism which compensates for its low height of only 48 meters. Don’t be fooled though…the combination of high speed and proximity to the ground makes for one exhilarating ride! And to make matters better the front and sides have been left off the carriages giving a uniquely floating feeling. |
|
|
Hurakan Condor – This ‘GIANT DROP’ ride never gets old! Based in the Mexico area, Hurakan Condor slowly raises you 100 meters vertically skyward only to pause at the top whilst you catch sight of the park and glorious surrounding coastline…then releases you to freefall to your peril! As you marvel towards the horizon you can never remember how long it holds you for as time seems to be momentarily suspended…then DROP! This is a truly breathtaking experience in more ways than one! |
Family
|
Gran Canyon Rapids – Found in the dusty desert of the Far West, the Gran Canyon Rapids take riders in circular rafts to explore waterfalls and iconic western scenery. Riders are navigated through strong currents and white water rapids, impressive and fun water based ride!
|
|
| Sea Odyssey – Is a one of a kind ride at PortAventura, built when Universal Studios owned the Park it boasts impressive technology coupled with a fun and exciting mini-story. Based in Polynesia, the ride is a dynamic cinema themed as a submarine, the seats and floors move in sync with the film taking passengers on a motion ride to complete the submarine’s mission! |
|
Kids
|
|
Canoes - On board a colourful canoe, our youngest visitors can travel the lakes and rivers of the exotic Polynesia. Let yourself be carried along by the current and enjoy the exotic plants that brighten the landscape.
|
![]() |
Tomahawk – Found in the Far West, Tomahawk is an action packed children’s wooden roller-coaster full of ups and downs which puts the bravest children to the test! |

Three of the shows are detailed below; they are UNIQUE, ENGAGING and BRILLIANT FUN!
|
Maverick, el Tahúr – Maverick is a CARD TRICK magician, a good one at that! Many guests have been fooled by his gentlemanly good manners and he has quickly become known as the most notorious double-dealer in the whole Far West. He doesn’t stop telling JOKES between TRICKS, however we think this is to distract his opponents! Maverick is around from March to September.
|
|
|
Bubble Bou – If you thought bubbles were not very interesting this show might well prove you wrong! Located in China, artists create and mould endless forms and shapes of bubble, experimenting with all different colours and size…Some lucky guests also get to volunteer to go INSIDE a giant bubble! Bubbles are blown from March to September.

Aloha Tahti – Performed in an outdoor theatre surrounded by lush greenery and cultural iconography, Polynesian dancers take the stage to perform a mesmerising dance to the Gods. The energy and timing from both the men and women is top notch, you can’t help but stare and tap to the INFECTIOUS RHYTHM.

Key Selling Points
1. One of PortAventura’s biggest assets is its location and climate.
The Spanish climate sells itself, temperatures range from 20C up to 27 C in mid summer and around 10C to 14C in winter, which compared the UK is an absolute paradise! The average rainfall per month is as low as 3 days!
It is very easy to get to from the UK; Ryan Air flights to Reus depart from London, Bristol, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Newcastle and Cardiff on a regular basis. Transfers from Reus are also easy; a shuttle bus runs regularly to the hotels or visitors can use a local taxi since it is only 10-15 minute drive.
2. The PortAventura Experience is essentially 3 holidays in 1!
The first being the Theme Park and Aquatic Park – Visitors can easily spend days on end in the park and not run out of things to do, it keeps kids and adults entertained and excited throughout the day.
The Beach Club offers all the benefits of a beach holiday all in one convenient location. The beach is clean and the water warm, behind the beach is the club itself which is exclusive for PortAventura guests, includes showers and changing facilities you don’t always get with a trip to the beach.
Finally, the city of Salou is only 10 minutes shuttle bus down the road from the Hotels; it is also a nice leisurely walk, taking about 45 minutes. Salou is lively and vibrant with plenty of bars and restaurants to mix and mingle with other tourists. Shops of all kinds are abundant if visitors fancy some retail therapy. Salou’s beach stretches as far as the eye can see and makes a nice place to explore and spend an afternoon/evening wondering around.
3. The exclusive advantages offered to guests of the hotel are well worth shouting about!
Convenience for the customers is second to none; they stay on the Park’s doorstep so they do not have to worry about getting to and from hotels in Salou, saving time, money and probably aggravation. Hotel stays include unlimited entrance to the park throughout the stay, cutting out the hassle of having to buy separate tickets. The included express queue pass has been said to be a "God send" cutting queues down significantly on almost every ride. For full list see PortAventura Hotels (above).
